Under the hood
How we check.
Our checker asks ChatGPT, Google's AI answers and Perplexity the questions your customers ask, in your town, again and again. It keeps every answer, dated and word for word, then counts who got named.
- 3 assistants
- 3+ tries a question
- Every answer kept
From question to report
Six steps, every month, for every business.
- 1 · Ask
The questions your customers type
In your town, for your trade: the urgent calls, the price questions, "best", "near me", and the jobs you want most.

- 2 · Repeat
Each question, more than once
Three tries or more on each assistant, because the list changes from one try to the next.

- 3 · Save
Every answer, on the record
Kept word for word with the date, how we asked, and the pages each answer pointed to.

- 4 · Read
Every business named, pulled out
Link labels, street addresses and trade words alone don't count. One business under two spellings counts once.
"KZ Plumbing" = "KZ Plumbing and Heating"
- 5 · Compare
Your website next to theirs
We read the homepages of the businesses that got named and show what they have that yours doesn't.

Every finding, in order
What we found, what to do, and the words to use, numbered from what to fix first. Next month the checker looks for last month's fixes and marks each one done or not yet.

The free report asks ChatGPT and Perplexity.answers in one free report: up to 3 questions, 3 tries each, on 2 assistants.
a week ChatGPT and Perplexity are asked on the monthly inspection. Every day on Plus.
Google's AI answers once a month. All pooled into one count on the 1st.businesses checked on ChatGPT since October 2026. 22 never came up once.
Our own count. It grows with every check. Why we ask more than once
Ask twice, get a different list.
Under 1 in 100That was the chance an AI assistant gave the same list of recommendations twice, across about 3,000 runs of the same questions.
SparkToro and Gumshoe, via Search Engine Land, January 2026.So we don't sell a rank. We count how often you're named across many tries, and we only call it a change when it's bigger than the normal swing between tries.
Checks on the checker
Nothing goes out that we can't trace.
- Every number recountedBefore a report goes out, each count is recounted from the saved answers. If one doesn't add up, the report is held.
- No missing assistantAn inspection report without ChatGPT, Google's AI answers or Perplexity in it is held, not sent.
- How we asked, on every pageThrough OpenAI's and Perplexity's developer access, web search on, your town set as the location. The ChatGPT app can answer differently, and the report says so.
- Change, not noise"No clear change yet" until a move beats the normal swing. We'd rather say that than call a lucky month a win.
- Clean namesJunk out of the counts: link labels, an owner's email, street addresses, a trade word on its own.
- Nothing we can't seeWe never count calls or leads we can't see. Tell us yours and the report puts it beside the count.

Got an email from us?
Why it came, and how to stop it
Why did PointedTo email me?
Our checker asked ChatGPT and Perplexity the questions customers ask about your trade in your town, and saved what they said. The link in our email goes to your own free report, with every answer we recorded and the date we asked.
Where did you get my email address?
From your own website. We keep a record of where and when we found it. We don't buy lists.
How do I make it stop?
Reply "unsubscribe", or use the unsubscribe page, and you won't hear from us again. Every email has our mailing address and a way to stop.
Is this a scam?
We never ask for a password, a login or card details by email. You only ever pay on Stripe's secure page. Our email is getpointedto.com and our website is pointedto.com; both are ours. You can ask ChatGPT the same question yourself: here's how.
Who's behind PointedTo?
PointedTo is a registered Ontario business, run by Jordan Huzevka. Email [email protected]; a person reads and answers every email.
