How PointedTo works
Every month we ask ChatGPT, Google's AI answers and Perplexity the questions your customers ask, several times each. Then we send you one page: who got named, whether you did, and three fixes with the words written out.
1. We ask what your customers ask
We use the words a customer in your town would type: "Best plumber in Windsor", "Emergency plumber near Windsor", "Who does sewer camera inspections in Windsor area?" Reply to your report with the jobs you want most and the companies you lose work to, and we add those.
2. We ask each question more than once
Ask ChatGPT the same question twice and the list often changes. So we ask every question at least three times on each assistant and count how often you come up. "Named 2 times out of 3" tells you more than one screenshot.
- Free report: three questions, three times each, on Perplexity, and on ChatGPT when we can. That's up to 18 recorded answers, and the page says which assistants it asked.
- Every month after that: ChatGPT, Google's AI answers and Perplexity, the same questions each month so you can see what changed.
3. One page lands on the 1st
For each question: how often you were named, and who was named instead. Then three fixes, most likely to help first, with the words written out: a page for your website, a Google Business post, a text asking customers for a review. Your first report includes a first draft of one page for your website, with blanks for your own details. See a sample report.
4. Next month shows whether it moved
Same questions, same towns. If you were named 0 times out of 6 for emergency calls in October, the November page shows the new count beside it.
What we don't do
- We don't log in to your website or your Google profile, and we never ask for a password. We write the words; you or your web person paste them.
- We don't sell leads, and we don't phone you.
- We can't promise any assistant will name you. We measure it carefully every month and show you the count.
How to check our work
Every answer we count is in your report, word for word, with the date and the exact question. Ask the same question on your phone and compare. If a number in a report can't be traced to a recorded answer, that month is free.
